Solar Irradiance Sensor
A thermo-compensated reference cell, individually calibrated for the measurement of solar irradiation, housed in 430 BA Inox.
This measures irradiation, cell temperature, panel temperature, speed and the direction of the wind at the same time.

The SunCel™ FX sensor has been appositely studied for solar radiation measurements with temperature adjustments for fixed installations.
Solar radiation is measured via a silicon photovoltaic cell calibrated in laboratory, whose temperature is constantly monitored to carry out adjustments of the measurement.
Furthermore the sensor is fitted with two more thermometric probes. The first is an adhesive contact probe for the measurement of photovoltaic panel temperature. The second is placed externally the probe case and allows the measurement of ambient temperature. Data acquired by sensors are processed by a micro-controller which, taking into account calibration and adjustment values, provides a linearized measurement with an analogue output (voltage or current loop).
The unit has a 430 BA Inox steel box and can be optionally fitted with a forced ventilation system allowing air temperature measurements. Furthermore, an input for an anemometer to measure wind direction and speed is available.
Therefore SunCel™ FX sensor is an accurate device for solar radiation measurements. Just for example, it is useful to check not only the efficiency, but also the correct installation of photovoltaic systems.
